Alma Mater/Degree: Rutgers University- BA in French and German

Occupation: Broome Street Academy, Spanish I, French I and French II Teacher. Creator of the curricula for the World Language Department.

History of non-profit work: TRiO & EOF Programs. Starting off as a tutor, and then becoming Leading Tutoring Coordinator, I began to learn that my primary target for education will always be inner city, underrepresented minority groups. Teaching abroad became an interest, and so, I became internationally TESL/TEFL certified with Oxford Seminars, resulting in a position to teach 4th grade and French in Guatemala. Back in the classroom with Newark Collegiate Academy Charter High School, I taught French I and French II which lead to facilitating the study abroad program to Nice, France.  My volunteer work is with the AmeriCorps Program, serving as a Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carteret and Rutgers Upward Bound Program.

Favorite travel destination: Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Hobbies: Crochet, studying languages, shopping

What inspires me: Happiness and success 

I believe travel can:  bring clarity; it brings perspective and it breaks down barriers and forms bonds.
